There's a little story behind our name.
HavenHaus brings together two words that hold special meaning for us: haven, a place to retreat and recharge, and Haus, the German word for home. It's a reflection of our ties to both Nova Scotia and Germany, and the experiences that have shaped our appreciation for travel, design, and hospitality.
With roots in Nova Scotia and inspiration gathered from time spent living and travelling abroad, we're a locally owned, family-run business building a collection of boutique coastal stays along Nova Scotia's North Shore.
That blend of influences has shaped our approach to hospitality. We believe that where you stay should be just as memorable as the destination itself — a thoughtfully designed space that becomes part of the experience. Somewhere to settle in, explore from, and unwind in, with the kind of comfort and character that makes you want to return.

Bridget | Founder
Bridget leads the creative vision behind HavenHaus, overseeing property design, brand direction, and the overall guest experience. From carefully curated amenities to reservations and guest communication, her focus is on creating welcoming, considered spaces where every detail contributes to a memorable stay.
Nils | Property Operations
Nils brings the HavenHaus vision to life through the development, care, and ongoing improvement of our properties. Overseeing everything from grounds and maintenance to new projects, he ensures each space is well cared for, thoughtfully maintained, and ready to welcome guests.
While our roles may be the most visible, much of what we do is made possible by the continued care, encouragement, and support of family behind the scenes.
